We want to hear something different from leaders. We wanted to hear business people talk about the things that really matter – something beyond the usual scripted brand story – something that felt human and real.

The conversations we film are unscripted. We talk to leaders about personal values, about what it means to be a leader and how they negotiate the interface of work and self - what happens when we walk through the revolving door of work?

Within that framework, the conversations tend to roam covering a diverse range of subjects such as vulnerability, tax, compassion, organisational structure and love.

Why unbusiness-like?

The conversations we film are intended to be disruptive. The Eth Word is about a different kind of business conversation, one that embraces some of the so-called softer subjects - compassion, kindness, love – those subjects that are often the hardest talk about.
